Imtec MDI sendax

       MDI implants are miniature 1.8 mm (standard thread design) titanium alloy implants that act like the root of a tooth. (A retaining fixture with an O-Ring is incorporated into the patients denture). The head of each implant is shaped like a ball and the retaining fixture acts like a socket. The O-Ring snaps over the ball when the denture is seated and holds the denture at a predetermined level of force. When seated, the denture gently rests on the patients gum tissue. The retaining fixtures allow for vertical movement while withstanding natural lifting forces.
       This minimally invasive technique is fast becoming the system of choice for stabilizing the prostheses of denture patients. Over the past several yars, IMTEC has observed amazing changes in dental practices using MDI implants.
